Manitoba has issued around 404 invitations to prospective immigrants in the latest Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
In this draw, the province did not invite candidates belonging to all three categories of MPNP: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas.
Non-express entry candidates who submitted their Expression of Interest profiles through the Skilled Workers Overseas stream were eligible to receive invitations in this MPNP draw.
Immigration candidates with an EOI score of 601 or higher secured an opportunity to apply for the provincial nomination. This score differs from the Comprehensive Ranking System score and there was no requirement of CRS score for this invitation round.
Generally, the province of Manitoba invites a few candidates through all three streams of the MPNP. However, in this unusual draw, the province surprised immigration candidates by issuing over 400 invitations specifically to Skilled Workers Overseas.
MPNP: Skilled Workers Overseas
Manitoba selects internationally trained workers depending on the demand of employers in the province and nominates them for Permanent Residence.
Candidates having a strong connection with Manitoba are eligible to apply for the Skilled Workers Overseas stream. The connection can be in terms of education, previous work experience in Manitoba, or close family ties. The total number of invitations issued by Manitoba so far this year has reached 3,422 including the results of the latest draw.
