The Canadian provinces choose potential candidates who would be a good fit for the provincial nominee programs and bring economic benefit to the provinces.
It is assumed that the next provincial Nominee draw will take place on the 16th of December, 2021.
What is the Express Entry category of PEI?
The PEI PNP is a more adverted version of the Provincial Nominee Program which means it is connected to the Express Entry System of the Center government. To be eligible for this, the candidates need to be accounted for in the Express Entry profile.
There are three immigration streams that are looked after by the Express Entry System. These are economic class programs known as the Federal Skilled Trades Program, CEC Canadian Experience Class, and FSWP Federal Skilled Worker Program.
Each potential candidate is marked on their human capital factors and is given a score known as the Comprehensive Ranking score. The CRS score is calculated in regards to the skills, work experience, age, education, and language fluency in English and French.
The lucky candidates who are chosen for a PNP get 600 points. These points are added to the existing CRS score and therefore are eligible to get an ITA in the next draw that is meant for potential permanent residents.
The first step to all this is to ensure that you have created an Expression of Interest profile on the province’s website to be considered in the provincial nomination.
The profile in the EOI has analyzed the unique system of the province. The applicants who have the highest score are then invited to apply in the subsequent draws.
What is Labour Impact Category?
If a foreign national has a job offer in PEI, this is the best option for them. The candidate should be backed up by the employer. This category is subdivided into three parts which are:
- Foreign Graduates
- Critical Worker
- Skilled Worker
An Expression of Interest must also be submitted for the candidate to be considered for a PNP.
What is Business Impact Category?
A minimum score needs in this category is a must in the Provincial Nominee Program requirement in order to continue with their applications. The minimum score is not fixed as such, it may differ with different draws. The invitations that were sent by Prince Edward Island were given under the Work Permit Stream, which is meant for international entrepreneurs who wish to run a business in the province of Prince Edward Island.
