What is the British Columbia Nomination Provincial Nominee Program?
The Canadian province of British Columbia is aimed to attract international skilled professionals who are in excessive demand for British Columbia’s economic growth. B.C invites candidates who are experts in a professional field to come and settle in the province as permanent residents.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has a SIRS Skills Immigration Registration System that manages the two subcategories of streams called the Express Entry and Skills Immigration. The candidates, in order to enter through the SIRS, need to register themselves in the online portal. As soon as the candidate makes a profile and registers into it, they are distributed a score that is scrutinized using their human capital factors such as age, education, profession, training or experience, and even language proficiency.
The candidate who scores the highest obviously gets an invitation from the B.C to apply for a provincial nomination that will later lead them to apply for a Canadian PR in the coming draws.
As a candidate, you have to keep in mind that you will have the time of only one month until the application has to be filled and submitted. It can be carried out through BC PNP online system.
After the application is submitted the immigration department of Canada takes almost two to three months to process and make a decision. It is on IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) to allow you for a permanent residency under PNP.
It must also be noted that the nomination has an expiration date of 6 months.
The perks of being nominated as a Provincial Nominee is that you get to score a CRS 600 points effortlessly which is greatly beneficial to get an ITA (Invitation to Apply). Through an ITA, the candidate may have a high chance of attaining a PR status in Canada.
