Breaking news! Only 432 CRS score required in the Express Entry Draw

Canada has invited as many as 5,000 immigration candidates in the newest CEC-specific Express Entry Draw. The IRCC held the draw on 1st April within 24 hours of the PNP-specific draw. 

Canadian Experience Class candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System score of 432 points only. This score is much lower than the score required in the previous CEC-specific draw as it has dropped by almost 17 points. 

Tie-break Rule

Candidates with a minimum score of 432 points required an invitation in this draw if they submitted their complete profiles before February 16, 2021, at 09:51:22 UTC. The Ministry has to announce the tie-break date and time even when there is no tie in the invitation round. 

In February 2021, IRCC issued invitations to nearly every single candidate eligible under the Canadian Experience Class as it invited 27,332 express entry candidates. Because of that big draw, the number of invitations issued under express entry has already reached 49,124.

Canadian Experience Class Eligibility

Skilled workers can get the status of permanent residents in Canada if they meet the following requirements:

• Required language levels in all four abilities: reading, writing, listening, and speaking;
• Minimum of one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the last three years of your application date;
• Have work permit;

CEC is one of the fastest pathways to Canadian Permanent Residency as it takes only three to four months to process immigration applications under this category.
