On October 29 from 00:001 Eastern Time, travellers will again be able to board flights between Canada and Morocco with some safety measures, stated by the government of Canada.
All those who wish to travel, have to produce a COVID negative report issued by the Government of Morocco before boarding the flight. The test should be valid in order to be trusted by the European Commission as well. It should also be noted that the test is supposed to take place 72 hours before the take off.
For people who had been COVID positive in the past and are still affirmative, need to submit a positive test result that has been taken between two weeks to 6 months before the exit. Travelers who were infected by the virus before coming to Morocco must prove that they caught COVID before their landing.
Airlines will check and evaluate the COVID test reports before the boarding and by scanning digital QR codes that proves the identity of the travellers and their COVID status. They will also examine whether the passenger has uploaded their personal information on the ArriveCAN app.
If visitors are traveling via indirect route or a hopping flight, they will have to still produce valid negative report issued by the third country where they have landed.
Newly arrived travellers will have to follow the norms and entry requirements of the maple country. Right now, only fully vaccinated passengers can travel for non-essential businesses. Those who land is required to generate a pre-departure negative COVID test, identity proof, a vaccination proof, and a quarantine plan.
The borders between Canada and Morocco were sealed back in August when Canada had the highest COVID-related cases. The travel bans first came into effect for a month in the month of August and extended until the month of September.
