The Canadian government has provided you an excellent opportunity to immigrate to Canada through the Express Entry system. Within five days, another express entry draw has been held on March 23, 2020, that has invited 3,232 candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
The Invitations to Apply for the permanent residence were issued to 3,232 candidates belonging to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) economy class program of the Express Entry system.
The highlight of this draw is the lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. Candidates with CRS scores as low as 467 are invited by the Immigration Ministry. Another characteristic of the latest draw is being a program-specific draw. Since 2015, when the express entry system came into effect, it is for the second time that a program-specific draw is held.
Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is one of the three immigration programs of the express entry system; the other two being Federal Skilled Worker and Federal Skilled Trades.
Canada recognizes the efforts of talented foreign workers who help in the economic integrity of the country. Therefore, the federal government has a separate immigration program for people who are already working in Canada to let them become Canadian permanent residents.
Foreign skilled workers with at least one year of Canadian work experience can apply for a permanent resident status through the CEC immigration program.
The applications for the Canadian Experience Class are processed through the Canada Express Entry system. The eligible candidate has to submit his/her profile in the Express Entry pool. This profile acts as an Expression of Interest shown by the candidate for the permanent residency in Canada.
Once a profile is submitted, the candidate is awarded a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which is eventually the determining factor for securing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
CRS score is dependent on the following factors:
Canada has set higher immigration targets for its three programs of the Express Entry system. For this reason, it is expected that the federal government will conduct draws more frequently. We, therefore, suggest that you keep yourself updated with the latest draws so that you do not miss any crucial opportunity.
