CEC is an economy-class immigration program under the Express Entry Immigration System. Canada recognizes the efforts of talented foreign workers who contribute to economic growth. And thus, the government has a separate immigration program for people who are already working in Canada. Through the Canadian Experience Class, individuals living in Canada can apply for the status of a permanent resident.
Foreign skilled workers require a minimum of one year of Canadian work experience in order to apply for Canada PR under the CEC immigration program.
Canada has set a target to welcome around 110,000 new immigrants through the Express Entry in 2021. So, candidates who wish to move to Canada can submit their express entry profiles as IRCC is still conducting regular express entry draws.
