Saskatchewan’s Points Assessment Grid
Immigration candidates who want to move to Saskatchewan have to submit an Expression of Interest profile to the SINP through the online application system of the province, OASIS. The EOI profiles submitted by the candidates are reviewed by the immigration authorities of the province. A candidate is given a score out of 110 on the basis of his or her profile. The scoring system is administered by the subcategory of SINP- International Skilled Worker (ISW). ISW has a Points Assessment Grid in which the scores are given by evaluating certain factors such as age, language proficiency, education, skilled work experience, and connections to Saskatchewan. Candidates can get a maximum of 23 points for education, 15 points for work experience, 30 points for language proficiency, 12 for age, and 30 points for having connections to the province. Connections to Saskatchewan mean a job offer or a close relative already staying in the province.
