Canada had recently put a travel ban on foreign nationals on March 16, 2020, to combat the coronavirus. The ban was started on March 18 and will remain in effect until June 30. The Canadian airlines also suspended all inbound and outbound flights.
However, Canada now clarifies that foreign nationals will be able to enter the country provided they show genuine documents to the airlines, which have the authority to accept or reject their boarding. This comes as a big relief to several foreign workers as well as international students who had their plans to come to Canada but could not make the journey because of travel restrictions.
