Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has allowed the entry of immediate family members this month. There will be no travel restrictions on family members now. They can come and visit their family members in Canada on non-optional or non-discretionary travel.Also, it does not matter from which country they are coming. If a foreign national is an immediate family member of any Canadian citizen or even a permanent resident, he or she can come to Canada. Step by step guide.And they should visit for a minimum duration of 15 days. In addition, as per the law, they must quarantine themselves for 14 days when they enter Canada.
Immediate family members are:
Spouse or a common-law partner
Parents or step-parents
Dependent children
Grandchildren
Guardian
Tutor
This new exemption is led by Canada to make people meet their families. The only condition is that the trip should not be short-term so as to protect the safety of other Canadians. Furthermore, it must be noted that this exemption is not for family members of temporary residents. The federal government has received full support from Canadian provinces before making the announcement of allowing immediate family members to enter Canada.
