Canada held a larger Express Entry Draw, Issued 3,500 Invitations

If you were anxiously waiting for the new Express Entry draw, your patience has yielded good news.  The 3rd Express Entry draw of 2020 has issued 3,500 Invitations to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.

How to Apply?

The application process of Express Entry is easy and fluid. Firstly, an interested candidate must fulfill all the requirements to be eligible for this Immigration System. If eligible, the candidate is advised to keep all the documents ready. Thereafter, he needs to create a profile in the Express Entry pool, which serves as an Expression of Interest (EOI) shown by the candidate.

The Express Entry draws are scheduled by the federal government on a bi-weekly basis. The last draw was held on 22nd January. And on 5th February, the 3rd Express Entry draw of 2020 has been conducted. Through this draw, 3,500 invitations are sent to candidates having a profile in the Express Entry pool.  In this draw, the lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score needed to secure an invitation by the government was 472. It increased by one point from the previous draw that had a cut-off score of 471. The CRS score determines your chance of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence. This score depends on a number of factors such as age, education, work experience, Canadian certificate of education, and language proficiency. In addition, a job offer from a Canadian employer is not mandatory in the Express Entry process. However, it does award extra points to the candidate. Talking about the newest Express Entry draw, Candidates who obtained a score of 472 or higher were sent Invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence.  Tie-break date and time: In this recent draw, the government has set the tie-break date and time as of January 30, 2020, at 07:36:26 UTC. So, only those candidates have received an invitation to apply for permanent residence who have submitted their profiles before the tie-break date and time. It is believed that the Canadian government has a target of inviting around one million immigrants throughout the following three years. So, Candidates must be prepared to grab this opportunity.
