Alberta held the Provincial Nominee Program Draw on July 27. The province has now released the details of the AINP Draw.
It invited 148 candidates with an Express Entry profile and a Comprehensive Ranking System score of 300. Express Entry candidates who have a CRS score of 300 or higher were eligible to receive invitations from the province of Alberta.
Invited candidates become eligible to apply for a nomination through the Alberta Express Entry Immigration stream.
The province has now invited 2,761 candidates this year after taking a temporary pause during the second half of 2020. The government of Canada has allocated 6,250 nomination certificates to Alberta for this year. So, this time the province of Alberta will possibly issue invitations throughout the year.
Are you eligible for Alberta Express Entry Stream?
The primary requirement for being eligible for the Alberta Express Entry stream is work experience in one of the targeted occupations.
Please note: The province of Alberta does not have a list of targeted occupations, on the contrary, it provides a list of those occupations that are irrelevant for the Alberta Express Entry stream.
Most of the candidates who apply for the Express Entry stream are cooks, truck drivers, and food service supervisors among others.
Candidates must have an intention of living in the province of Alberta. Moreover, a job offer, Canadian education, a parent, child, or sibling living in Alberta increase a candidate’s chances for provincial nomination.
