On November 9th, another draw was held by the Canadian province of Alberta that sent invitations to almost 200 candidates from the Express Entry Pool.
The Minimum score benchmark for this invitation was 343 in the pool. The invitations had been sent by the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program.
This first draw has a cutoff as high as 300. In a way, it is also the least score requirement needed for the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
Since January 2021 Alberta has successfully sent invitations to 6,359 candidates who were in the Express Entry Pool and are potential to apply for a PNP. Earlier in 2020 Alberta was on a hiatus. The draws resumed soon after the pandemic and the province has been sending invitations to candidates who are in the Express Entry pool and are potential of a provincial nomination certificate. This certificate is granted by the province and is greatly helpful to apply for a Permanent residency in Canada.
Over 6,250 certificates of nomination have been distributed by Alberta alone in 2021.
Method of the Alberta Express Entry Stream
The stream of Alberta Express Entry AEE is an ultra-modern narrative of the PNP. The provincial government has the authority to skim through the Express Entry Pool and choose candidates who fit ideally for their provincial nominee program.
The Express Entry comes directly under the Federal government and manages economic programs of the country that are: Federal skilled Trades program, the Canadian experience class, and the Federal skilled Workers program.
If the candidate is proven to be fit for the Express Entry System, their profile will be analyzed through a CRS Comprehensive Ranking System which follows the human capital factors to distribute the point. The factors include personal details like language skillfulness, age, graduate, high school education and so much more.
The candidates who bag the highest marks in this evaluation are called by the IRCC Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada, the department of Canadian immigration to apply for permanent residency status.
It is not necessary for a candidate to have a provincial nomination in order to enter the Express Entry. Those who have a low CRS score are recommended to apply for a provincial nomination as when a province chooses a candidate for a PNP, he or she will receive an additional 600 CRS score which will be more than enough to hope for an Invitation to Apply in the following draw of Express Entry.
Find out eligibility for the Alberta Express Entry Stream
The most important requirement of this stream is to have valid professional experience in a company or an organization that is recognized by the Canadian government.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program does not have a list of NOC occupations that are eligible in fact they have a list that is quite the opposite. Professionals from the food industry, transport, and trades apply for this program.
Additionally, you will be favored if you have a past working experience in Canada, hold a Canadian degree of Education, or have a valid job offer by an employer in Alberta. Another factor that can increase your chances of being selected is to have a blood relative living in the province at the time of your application.
